Display of Bermuda Books by Bookmart/Brown&Co.

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

The theme for March is Bermuda Architecture.  The books we feature this month include the series by the Bermuda National Trust – Bermuda’s Architectural Heritage Series.  To date these books cover St. George’s, Hamilton, Smith’s, Devonshire and Sandy’s parishes.  Each book gives specific detail about the buildings, both commercial and residential, in each of the parishes.  Have a look and you might find that your home is included (I found mine).  Another book by the National Trust is Held In Trust.  This book highlights Bermuda historic properties and cemeteries, which both speak to Bermuda’s architecture

The themes for the year are as follows(subject to change):
1. January - Bermuda History
2. February - Bermuda Art
3. March - Bermuda Architecture
4. April - Bermuda Flora & Fauna
5. May - Bermuda Culture - (heritage month)
6. June - Bermuda Maritime - (tall ships race)
7. July - Sport in Bermuda - (cup match)
8. August - Religion in Bermud
